Job Role: - Statistical Modelling - Use expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to develop state-of-the-art statistical models, procedures and support product team in ad-hoc analysis, test and validation, research etc - Algorithm Development - Develop new algorithms independently to close well defined retail problems, improve existing algorithms. Work with product team to implement new modules, maintain and release production pipelines in timely and responsible fashion - POC - Develop POCs based on new ideas or technology, popularize new innovations in retail and analytics with internal/external stakeholders - Basic - Collaborate with Data Engineering, Solution delivery and Product team to find scope of improvement and drive right processes. Actively participate in meetings, keep solution delivery team and BRMs informed on progress etc. Desired Skills and Experience: - Basic statistics and machine Learning techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic regression, Basic theoretical programming capability in at least one technology (Java, C++, Python, R, SQL, SAS etc.). - Advanced Statistics techniques (Expertise in traditional analytical techniques such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Cluster analysis, Market Basket analysis, CART, CHAID, Linear Optimization etc), Good Programming capability in at least one technology (Java, C++, Python, R, SQL, SAS etc.) - Preferred Language: SQL, R, Python - Good coding proficiency is expected - Knowledge of work, research and innovation mindset and structured thinking - Have good attention to detail, ability to work under strict timelines, and able to multitask. Communicate effectively to align various stakeholders - Open to Travel on need basis (up to 20%)
