Position Objective:  - To embed analytical algorithms in operational systems and create decision support systems for major retail functions like Loyalty Management, Supply Chain management, Markdown management, Store operations, etc.   - Position to work in Analytics Centre of Excellence team of one of the largest retail conglomerates in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent with a diverse portfolio of retail and hospitality brands   Responsibilities:  - Define overall Decision support systems strategy by keeping in mind current and future requirements   - Develop automated and self-serve decision support systems for business users in key retail functions   - Design and develop intuitive user interface & data visualizations in line with business requirements  - Develop scalable analytical procedures in analytical programming languages (SAS, R, Python, etc) and integrate with data warehouses and retail operational systems  - Develop alerting, self-healing, data-quality features to monitor and maintain existing decision support systems   - Design data architectures for warehouse and reporting marts to support decision support systems   - Build and integrate robust data processing pipelines for enterprise-level business analytics   - Lead cross-functional projects to improve data management practices  - Represent Analytics CoE in IT architecture committee and align Decision support systems roadmap with Enterprise architecture roadmap   Qualification & Skills:   - Must have 2-7 years of overall experience  - 2+ years of data engineering experience including user interface development and data management exposure   - Strong hands-on experience in programming languages (SAS, R, Python, SQL, etc) used in analytics   - Expert knowledge of SAS products/architecture   - Proficient in implementing Analytic approaches and Statistical algorithms on large size data   - Proficient in Data management concepts, Data analysis & Data mining techniques  - Experience working with datasets of different sizes and shapes, including experience to explore, query, process, summarize large size data   - Experience with Visualization tools (ex. Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI)  - Experience working with Unix operating systems  - Strong problem solving, design and architecture skills   - Exposure to Hadoop technologies like HDFS, Map-Reduce, Hive, Sqoop, Oozie will be preferred   - Ability to predict future enhancements necessary based on the usage pattern   - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment   - Passion for technology and willingness to learn new programming languages, technologies   - Ability to effectively organize & execute a demanding workload   - Knowledge of retail industry and its BI and analytics needs
