Sr. Manager/Associate Director- Category Responsibilities: - Build a portfolio strategy for the assigned categories to deliver the revenue targets and GM. Create exciting new collections and categories that strengthen the Licious brand as the meat expert - Work closely with the consumer insights team to understand the consumer's usage & attitude towards the category and to identify the need gaps - Develop comprehensive briefs for new product launches by distilling the consumer insights, market study and portfolio gaps - Closely liaise with NPD, sourcing, planning, production and other cross-functional teams to develop and launch the products as per the calendar - Work closely with brand, content, design, growth, channel and other key stakeholders to build an effective GTM strategy for the new launches - Design the ideal pricing strategy for new launches and existing range, by balancing the revenue growth and GM deliverable - Deliver the required GM for the assigned categories. Anchor portfolio rationalization and price revisions at regular intervals - Work closely with the planning, sourcing and production teams to ensure availability and reduce wastage and discounts - Increase category penetration by creating events, offers and other engagement activities by partnering with growth and acquisition teams - Build the category in the multi-channel environment by supporting the channel partner teams in terms of portfolio design, pricing, events and other operations - Partner with the brand and content team to create engaging content to build the affinity for the categories - Monitor the consumer ratings and reviews for the range and consistently work on improving the product quality Desired candidate : - Prior experience in product development and category management with exposure to product development cycle in FMCG. Exposure in D2C/E-commerce preferred, not mandatory - A good team player with a demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams - Wears her/his Passion for Meat on her/his sleeve - Dreamy-eyed - someone who is curious and enjoys being challenged and breaking new ground - Data-driven with a strong first principles understanding of category creation and consumer insights - Ownership Mindset, willingness & demonstrated ability to do more with less to drive results - An ideas person with the ability to combine right & left-brain tasks to think analytically, track meticulously & execute practically - Ability to consume vast amounts of data and qualitative analysis, identify problem statements and creates actionable plans Must Haves : - MBA from a Tier-1 institute: Batch of 2016-2019 - Category management experience in the FMCG space for at least 2 years
