Overview of the role:

Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other major organizational functions. Influences strategy and sets policy and direction. Owns a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals and priorities. Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility. Contributes to the overall strategic definition of a function with strong business acumen. Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction and key decisions.

Role Description:

1. Leads critically important, higher impact , time-sensitive efforts to identify new business strategies and opportunities (e.g., new business models, growth initiatives, cost reduction strategies).

2. Leads highly complex strategic, organizational, and operational initiatives, may include Mergers &Acquisitions projects, business development, and large-scale transformation.

3. Partners with executives in creating strategic initiatives and securing budgets for plans and projects on a wide range of strategic issues, including risk management and implementation tactics.

4. Oversees significant research and analysis efforts and develops new tools and processes to evaluate strategic objectives.

5. Influences and coaches executives by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations that build the business case for new strategic initiatives.

6. Directs large, global, virtual, and cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate the development of strategic initiatives and fully integrate strategic initiatives across businesses and regions.

7. Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader.

8. Ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support team efforts.

Education and Experience Required :

1. MBA

2. Typically 16+ years experience.

3. 10 years post-MBA experience in leading strategic initiatives, ensuring operational efficiencies, leading Long Term planning. Overseeing projects related to growth and financial improvement initiatives.

4. Prior experience management consulting, corporate strategy will be an advantage.

2. Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.

3. Superior business acumen, technical knowledge within multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.

4. Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.

5. Superior project management skills, including time and risk management, and project structuring.

6. Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.

7. Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, conflict resolution, and management in a global, cross-functional, and virtual environment.

8. Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to client issues.

9. Ability to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.

10. Ability to manage human capital to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.

Impact/Scope :

1. Manages multiple large, cross-organization strategic consulting assignments.

2. Staffs and manages cross-functional engagement teams and Oversees strategic initiatives.

3. Presents business cases to MD, ILT and above clients and audiences.

4. Decision-making implications extend to multiple functions and/or businesses, and impact the global business directly.

3. Recognized internally and externally as an industry expert for recommending financial impact and change.
