In-House Legal


- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in law with minimum experience of two years at Law firm / Commodity Trading House / Financial services

- Knowledge of English (UK) law with relevant legal principles and procedural/statutory frameworks

- Expertise in drafting, reviewing & negotiating a complex commercial agreement

- Producing guidelines & template materials on business deals with a capability of providing training as necessary as well to equip the trading teams with appropriate legal knowledge & tools to support the business.

- Manage and mitigate the risks of legal dispute & statutory breach while providing legal support for handling of day to day matters related to the agreements, including interpretation of contracts while advising legal risk associated.

Desired :

- Preferred experience in Joint Venture/Merger & Acquisition process & agreements

- Basic knowledge of Marine insurance policy & agreements

- Preferred knowledge of UAE law

- Preferred knowledge of financial services industry, financial products (including derivatives and structured products) and related financial services regulations (UCITS, FCA rules, MIFID, benchmark regulations, data protection, and AML).

- Excellent presentation, writing, and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and listening skills with in-house as well as with the third party involved.

- Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence others who are not in the same line of authority.

- Professional demeanor & team player with an ability to interface effectively with an in-house/Third party.
