Job Description:

Role Overview

Reporting to the VP-Legal, this role holder will be responsible for providing legal support to various businesses of located in various cities and airports in India. The position will be based in Mumbai.

Key Purpose & Responsibilities

1. Drafting of contracts

- Tenders/RFP: The candidate should be well versed with reviewing and advising on RFP documents with govt authorities and negotiating all related agreements.

- Franchise business support: Drafting and negotiating term sheets, MOU and Contracts pertaining to franchises and similar kind of business models ;

- Real Estate:- Drafting and negotiating low to medium complexity contracts and term sheets with facility owners for the foregoing aspects of the F&B business.

2. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies of SSP/TFS, and contractual obligations with F&B brands;

3. Trade Marks and Copyrights: To support the in house registration process of trademarks of theF&B brands

4. Miscellaneous: To draft contracts on as required basis for miscellaneous transactions of thecompany.

- Engaging, learning and winning the confidence for handling low to medium complexity contracts.

- To provide contracting and legal support for new initiatives and special projects of the company

- To minimize risk and proactively protecting the company's interest and assets

- Support existing processes to manage the Intellectual property rights of the company in variousdatabases

- To provide litigation support and to manage outside counsel optimally in a focused, efficient andeffective manner.

- Has day to day responsibility for drafting accurate contracts, negotiating them with third parties on his/her own and concluding them in tight deadlines.

- Providing accurate, effective and timely legal advice, analysis and support on commercial andcontractual matters taking into account the commercial environment

- Drafts and negotiates any relevant agreements and any other relevant legal documents relating tocommercial and contractual matters.

- To act as the day to day interface between the company and external counsel, briefing externalcounsels and attending hearings in the courts and other regulatory forums and governmentdepartments

- Co-ordinates with intra departments of the company in respect of commercial and contractualmatters where appropriate to ensure that all relevant legal issues are identified and appropriatesupport is provided

- Understand tax and regulatory structure of the company and be able to safeguard the companyfrom exposure in the contracts.

- Assists in the development of best practice with regards to the legal aspects of commercial andcontractual matters entrusted

- Influences and assists in discussions between clients and other functions to ensure the best legalsolution to meet commercial objectives and to encourage best practices

- Provides regular reports and updates to line manager and to internal stakeholders , as appropriate

Key Challenges in the role:

F&B Industry is now being regulated with various legislations governing almost every aspect of it whichmakes doing business and compliance a real challenge. Incumbent should be able to keep himself/herselfupdated with new developments relating to the business and apply them to mitigate risk and exposure forthe company. Incumbent is expected to grasp the key provisions and apply them effectively in each endeavour he/she undertakes in this position.

It is expected that the incumbent will have high energy levels to absorb as much as possible the dailylearning in the legal fields governing F&B industry, positively respond to stress levels which are commonto legal profession, and have an attitude and confidence (including command over spoken and writtenEnglish) that compliments his/her legal work.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

- Minimum 8 plus years post LL.B. as in house lawyer.

- The credentials of law school/university from which Incumbent has done LL.B. will be considered.

- A stint in F&B industry shall be an added advantage.

- Incumbent must have excellent command over spoken and written English.

- Incumbent must be self-driven and motivated to take initiatives

- Incumbent must be able to demonstrate the ability to handle pressure situations with alacrity.

- Incumbent must have multitasking ability. Timely and efficient delivery of legal support is the key.

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Annual CTC: Rupees 17,00,000 to 18,00,000
