Brief Description about Job:
The incumbent will be responsible for providing support in review and management of commercial and procurement contracts i.e. the process of systematically and efficiently managing contract creation, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk. This job description may not represent all the duties of the position; may be asked to perform other related duties, as needed.
The incumbent will:
- Review different commercial and procurement contracts and other related legal documents and ensure compliance of Company's internal risk parameters and achievement of business objectives.
- Raise red flags/ make recommendations to other members of the Legal Department.
- Collaborate with senior Regional Attorneys and Contract Managers situated globally.
- If situation demands, engage counterparts in customer's Legal Department to resolve impasse.
- Play an active role in management of the contract life cycle from identification of a need, through negotiation, agreement, monitoring, and close-out.
- Advise on foreign and domestic commercial transactions involving manufacturing (from vendor's perspective), materials, intellectual property, inventory, services and financing issues.
- Time zone management. Candidates willing to work in US shift ( 7 pm to 4 am) will be preferred, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
- Along with the individual contributor role we are looking for candidates who have leadership abilities and can be good coach/mentor to junior attorneys
- Can lead and drive the function to meet the expectations of the company Legal Department
