Legal Lead - Financial Services & Products Firm

Legal Lead Required for a Large Financial Services / Products Organization ! Mumbai

Our client is a large Financial Services and Products organization creating innovative solutions that are changing the face of the payments domain in India. They are looking to hire a "Legal Professionals" to join their Company ASAP at their Head Office in their "Mumbai" office.

The incumbent will be responsible for :

- Handling of legal matters and provide legal guidance

- Identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks in documents and commercial arrangements

- Advising on intellectual property rights (e.g. trademark and patents) related issues and litigation

- Advising on compliance with legal requirements pertaining to local and international payments as well as data privacy and protection legislations

- Drafting, reviewing standardizing and negotiating agreements and documents globally

- Assisting in formulation of policies and processes from a legal perspective while also helping them identify regulatory and operational risks

- Drafting written submissions, replies to legal notices and managing ongoing litigation

- Advising other functions within the organisations on legal issues pertaining to their functioning

To qualify for this position you should :

- Education in Law from a premium institute

- Have 5+ years of experience in Legal

- Preferably have experience in Banking, Finance, Technology, startups or similar organizations

- Preferably have experience in IPR, Data Privacy and large complex agreements

- International Law experience will be an advantage (not mandatory)

- Experience in corporates is preferably though not mandatory

- Be currently from Mumbai or ready to relocate
