Key Result Areas
Role-specific:
- Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management. Advising executive members on new laws, existing laws and legal rights that would impact functionality of the business
- Managing, structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating various contracts. Leading the negotiation on
commercial contracts with business clients is one of the key requirements of the role.
- Spare head the legal team in transactional legal work involving partnership, mergers and acquisition and all forms of organic and inorganic growth
- Interface with regulators / Government offices, external counsel, clients etc.
- Implement Data Privacy policies and procedures across the organization
- Maintaining knowledge of the company's legal documents and operations
- Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to any litigation
- Keeping a record of all legal documents and proceedings for the company
- Facilitating filings of licensing forms and other statutory compliances
- Filing for intellectual property rights and its management
- Analyze legal risks and opportunities to company in light of evolving and dynamic regulatory and competitive environments
- Overseeing the legal matters of the business as a whole, including acting as the business' legal representative
- Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders
- Imparting compliance training across operational departments and improve legal quotient in the organization.
- Attract, develop, direct, motivate and drive performance from team
- Formulate appropriate internal procedures and infuse automation for process efficiencies
- Drive compliance audits for assurances

Education and Experience:
Education:
- Required: A Master's degree in Law from nationally reputed university is required.
- Preferred: IP certification
- Added advantage: Practice in M & A, Commercial Contracts
Industry Experience:
- 17-20 years of relevant experience in Services B2B industry. Some pharma, CRO, CDMO experience will be an advantage
- International exposure and experience (preferable US/UK markets)
