Position: Legal Head

Reporting to : Executive President

Reported by : Legal Team

Qualification : LLM

Experience : 10-15 yrs working with Education Trust.

Desired Skills:

- Passionate about the work.

- Good at legal analysis

- Strong knowledge of dealing with legal matters /cases related to trust, societies etc.

- Excellent command over English (written and oral)

- Excellent people management and negotiation Skills

- Ability to work effectively under pressure

- Ability to lead larger teams and good task master

Job Profile: Legal Head

1. Shall be responsible for the entire legal work of the trust.

2. Shall be responsible to collate all the current cases and set priorities.

3. Responsible to guide the team or self prepare petitions/ applications / any legal communications to all the court cases pertaining to the trust in various courts in consultation with the legal advisor.

4. Responsible to protect the trust from legal risks and violations.

5. Responsible to guide the management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

6. Shall be responsible to thoroughly go through the legal documents and guide to avoid any legal issues in future.

7. Study civil related cases and attend the hearings.

8. Represent the trust in court cases and legal proceedings.

9. Coordinate with the high court and supreme court as required for the cases.

10. Advice on any litigation that may impact the trust.

11. Liaison with the external experts and Charity commissioner office and related issues as required.

12. Responsible to prepare various legal reports on the cases handled.

13. Responsible to handle and closure of labour law cases.

14. Study and seek all legal opinions related to the state university act as required.

15. Maintain proper documentation of each and case and submit monthly MIS mentioning status of each case.

16. Give legal advice to the management where ever required.

17. Perform any other tasks as required.
