Legal Entity Controller - Alternative Investment Management Firm

Education/Professional

Qualification:

- Degree in Accounting, with CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualification.

Relevant Experience:

- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services industry

- Alternative Asset Management industry.

Technical Skills:

- Well versed in accounting principles, finance operations (AP, AR, GL financial & management reporting) and statutory accounts preparation.

- Knowledge of tax which include corporate income tax, TDS, GST, transfer pricing.

- Good sense of governance and controls principles.

- Experience with Autocount Accounting system and SAP-Concur system is a plus.

- Good communication skills with all levels of personnel and stakeholders (internal & external).

- Organised with project and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the finance operations, reporting and controls of Mumbai and Bangalore office

- Responsibilities include but non-withstanding the following:

(i) Liaison with external bookkeepers engaged for both entities and provide oversight for these accounts

(ii) Maintaining a set of the financials in the Autocount Accounting system

(iii) Accounting, financial reporting, balance sheet attestations, analytical review

(iv) Prepare payments, review of employees' claims in the SAP-Concur system

(v) Oversight of all regulatory reporting for both entities.

(vi) Tax compliance and reporting (corporate income tax, GST, TDS, transfer pricing)

(vii) Contribute to the Group's annual budgeting exercise

(viii) Preparation of statutory financial statements and liaison with external auditors on external audit

(ix) Preparation of financials for quarterly Board meetings and attendance at Board meetings (where required)

(x) Liaison with internal and external stakeholders on all localised finance related matters
