Legal Counsel - LLB - BFS

- Draft various trading agreements such as, ISDA master agreements & credit support documents, prime brokerage agreements, futures and options agreements, master repurchase agreements, securities lending agreements, broker-side confirmations and non-disclosure agreements.

- Review account opening documentation, marketing material, electronic give-up agreements, callable-bull-bear contracts & warrants and participatory notes from a legal and policy perspective.

- Providing pre and post-execution support (including review of constitutional documents to ensure adequate legal capacity and authority, updating legal database and issuing execution notices to internal teams).

- Collaborate and liaise with clients and internal departments.

- Conduct subject matter training, draft/update standard operating manuals and ensure accurate and timely MIS update.

- Assist on special projects such as contracts review.

- LLB or equivalent degree with excellent academic credentials (LLM or MBA will be an added advantage).

- Minimum 6-7 years of PQE in banking and financial industry or as a corporate in-house lawyer. Experience in drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, ISDA, futures and options, prime brokerage, repo and securities lending documentation will be an added advantage.

- Proficient in legal drafting with attention to detail.

- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

- Self-starter with excellent business judgment, legal acumen and ability to work both cross-functionally and independently.

- Reasonable understanding of MIS.
