Legal Counsel | FMCG 8-15 years

Job Description : A leadership role with a renowned brand in the industry. Tech role encompasses all facets of legal - Contracts, M&A, Litigation, compliance etc

Client Details : A leading player in the FMCG space

Description :

1 Provide pro-active business oriented legal advice supporting the drafting, negotiation, execution, and administration of complex commercial contracts, NDAs, manufacturing related agreements.

2 Assist and advise various teams and senior management with respect to contractual right and obligations and dispute resolution,

Advisory :

1 Advising on general business law issues and managing legal issues impacting the Company, including but not limited to contract act, legal metrology, environmental and factory laws, and other manufacturing related legislations.

2 Help formulate Authority-wide, consistent and cogent positions on regulatory and administrative interpretations and legal strategies

Dispute management :

1 Deciding the approach strategy for litigation - whether to defend or to go to court, reassessing with the progress of the case.

2 Ensure Effective litigation management of all cases

New Businesses and M&A :

1 Advising the new businesses in terms of the legal framework for new operations or channels etc.

2 Working on understanding and assessing the legal framework for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring etc.

Process orientation and center of excellence :

1 Responsible for devising a list of proactive measures that can be introduced to mitigate legal risks, provide legal advice for policy formulation, introduce and implement processes for efficient and expedited legal advice.

2 Developing and nurturing culture of excellence rigor and process orientation in legal function

Profile :

- 8-15 years of experience in legal department of an FMCG/Manufacturing organisation

- Experience in plant related compliance, labour matters, litigation etc

- Experience is contract drafting and negotiations
