Established in 2002, the foundation works with partners from the private, public, and non-profit sectors to identify opportunities, address challenges, and transform the Indian education landscape.

Project Scope:

- The Community Makerspace is a part of the Atal Tinkering Labs. It will be a dedicated workspace where students (Class 6th to Class 10th) learn innovation skills and develop ideas and create prototypes aimed at solving community issues. The labs are powered to acquaint students with state-of-the-art equipment such as 3D printers, robotics & electronics development tools, IoT & sensors, etc. The lab activities are designed to spur the spark of creativity, and go beyond regular curriculum and text book learning.

- To achieve all of the above, the Program Manager needs to have a creative and technical bent of mind with the ability to create and manage long-term goals of the organisation. He/she needs to inspire a culture of innovation in the community as well as empower students to design and translate their vision by developing solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities -

- Implement and manage the intervention to ensure timely adherence of project deliverables. Develop a monitoring mechanism to track progress, assess quality, analyse risks and identify areas for improvement.

- Guide, mentor and coach Innovation Coaches to think out of the box and create innovative learning experiences for the students in areas of design thinking, fabrication, engineering, robotics, coding, or computational thinking.

- Maintain ultimate responsibility for all operations of the Makerspace, including equipment maintenance, supply ordering, budgets, capital purchases, safety procedures, room scheduling, and volunteer coordination. (Eg: Maintain a record of bills/expenses / Create and maintain an inventory document for successful running of the makerspace)

- Serve in a public-facing capacity to represent the Makerspace to external visitors not limited to donors, partners, senior staff members as well as external organisations.

- Develop an implementation plan for the program and allocate and monitor resources to maximize efficiency.

Knowledge and Skills -

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the related field (Engineering) Proficiency in engineering, electronics and/or computer programming.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Teamwork. Excellent organizational and planning skills related to schedules, resource allocation, and long-term planning.

- Proactive and ready to learn.

- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to program management.

- Technical/software project management experience. Strong time management and organization skills.

- Able to work effectively and efficiently without constant supervision and under stressful timelines.

- Establish the Community Makerspace as one of the best Makerspaces in the region.

- Timely delivery of the content to the children.

- Tinkering Clubs being successful in the school.

- Submission of accurate data on time. Submission of bills on time.
