Job Description :

The role requires working collaboratively with cross-border colleagues when building and delivering specific learning solutions. The role demands a flexible communication style and an ability to empathize with people in the learning environment. Critical to the role is the ability to manage multiple moving parts and changing priorities. As such, it is essential that the individual can cope with the high demands of the business and the pressure to deliver at high speed and manage multiple learning projects.

The job holder will generally be guided by the instructions from his/her line manager. Nevertheless, a degree of independent thought, thought leadership, and taking the initiative are is preferable. required.

The GBM footprint across the GSCs is over 6400 FTE across 7 Centers and 6 countries. The Service Centers will be supporting all business lines within GBM including Markets, Client, and Banking. Within the GBM Service Centre responsibility is also for some of the global functions which support the businesses, including for example Wholesale and Traded Risk. Whilst not part of the GBM business the Global Private Banking operations within the Service Centres are also positioned under GBM SC. Capability Development Function under GBM SC is closely aligned to HR, Global L&D, Site learning Academy to manage all training requirements for GBM Businesses

The scale and diversity of the activities in the GSC provides a unique challenge. The locations have grown rapidly over the last few years. The GSC's now collectively account for the largest headcount in Global Banking and Markets. The next stage of evolution of the sites presents the opportunity for the GSC to take the global lead and define appropriate target operating models to provide enhanced support for the global businesses.

Domain Knowledge & Experience:

- Overall 7-10 years of relevent experience as a Learning consultant and expert facilitator, ideally having exposure to Investment Banking Operations

- Experience in learning and instructional design, having managed vendor and client interactions

- Knowledge on various training techniques, channels and evaluation methodologies

- Strong knowledge and experience of Investment Banking product, Businesses, Clients and Regulatory (Eg: GFX, Equities, Bonds, Rates and Credits, Derivatives, Institutional Clients, Global Custody )

- Learning Calendar Scheduling, deployment of vendor prgms, learning operations and dashboard creation

- Vendor Management, Including edicational bodies and Certification Institutes (CISI)

Skills & Capabilities:

- Learning specialist with strong facilitation and domain skills

- Hardworking, resilient and passionate team member

- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

- Strong project management capability and coordinating skills

- Ability to explain difficult concepts to a broad cross-section of staff

- Literate in bank standard desktop applications and communication technologies (e.g. WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, WEBEX)

- Ability to adapt to variable working shift hours to support training on demand in the various business sites and time zones supported
