Position: Leadership role in Sales with a leading FMCG Company
Principal Job Functions:
1. Develop, maintain and monitor the sales plan for the Company.
- Constantly keep abreast of developments in markets including market trends, technological developments, competitive product offerings, regulatory requirements, etc. Activities include periodic attendance of industry
- conferences and seminars, activity in industry committees that will allow for interfacing closely with customers.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of competitive product offering, features, pricing, promotions, etc. Obtain and analyze competitive samples, literature, pricing and programs as required.
- Develop research and strategic sales initiatives and programs to achieve the Sales Plan, including but not limited to:
Innovation opportunities
- Competitive analysis and strategy.
- Identification of prospects
- Formal sales promotion programs (usually quarterly or semi-annually).
- Pricing recommendations to maintain market-competitive pricing, given strategic price model.
- Product recommendations (new and existing)
- Develop and manage sales incentive programs
- Develop and monitor annual sales operating budgets.
- Develop and manage specific strategic sales initiatives for target markets and channels, including government sales.
- Transition new products to market by conducting new product introductions to key agencies and target customers.
Requirements:
- Must be an MBA from Premier B-School (Batch 03,04 & 05).
- Must have strong experience in Sales with leading FMCG companies.
- Consultative selling skills.
- Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.
- Staff consulting and relationship building skills.
- Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases).
- Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers.
