Leadership Role - Data Platform Architect

Responsibilities

- Drive the Platform Architecture and Design

- Help with defining the overall Data Platform Architecture

- Own the design/architecture of individual components within the Platform

- Mentor engineers and ensure engineering quality

- Represent company's Data Platform engineering group in different forums

- Be an active participant in the overall architecture community within engineering.

Data Platform Architect

- Architect for one of the components for core analytics platform

 - Catalog backend, data pipeline orchestration

Must have

- Prior exp in building large scale data platforms

Location: Bangalore (SMS), Noida

Qualifications Minimum qualifications

- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field - Prior experience in building large scale scalable, high-performance, low latency data platforms

Preferred qualifications

- Should be fluent to develop technical relationships with end-users, ISVs, OEMs and other Product architects

- Good oral/written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Should be a hands-on programmer in JVM languages and Python

Good know-how of the ecosystem of Insights Platforms, Big Data, Cloud Service Providers

- Experience with microservices architectures and constituent technologies is required along with implementation knowledge of standard logging, monitoring and management components

- Experience with the Serverless frameworks

- Experience with Event Driven Architectures and constituent technologies and patterns

- Hands on experience with Azure Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud platform; namely choosing platform components and assembling application and runtime architecture

- Experience with containerization and container platforms.

- Good knowledge of using Relational Stores, Column Stores, Graph Stores Object Stores and Warehouses

- Knowledge of OpenAPI Standards, Swagger and other relevant areas

- Should have presented in at least 1-2 external conferences in the last 2 years/alternatively should have hosted meet-ups on specific subject areas for diverse groups external to employer organization

- Recognized Training and Certifications in relevant subject areas will be a plus

- Experience in working with Teams following Agile development practices and allied tools

- A sustained track record of Product or Cloud Services delivery in an Architect position for the last 3 years is a must
