Leadership Position - Analytics COE (Leading Global Financial Services Firm)

Role :

- This role will be responsible for designing, building, executing Analytics capabilities COE. It needs a very strong focus on Analytics for the Consumer and Commercial Banking across different segments of the banking market

- This role will oversee the development of service and solution portfolio, sourcing, deployment, evolution and on-going operations of advanced, cutting edge and leading analytics solutions

- To create and execute a strategy that enables real-time, agile analytics and self-service through a flexible, adaptable, future-state technology platform with advanced predictive and prescriptive insights for Banks and Financial Services Firms

- Monitoring emerging analytics trends. Recommending, sourcing, developing and/or implementing optimal tools and technologies for data discovery to sustain competitive advantage

- This position will manage a team of modelers, statisticians, technologists, data architects, solution designers and client engagement / program managers

- The position will be integral in designing and implementing the firm's next generation analytics platform

- Attracting, developing and retaining a pipeline of highly engaged, superior analytics talent

- Transforming the culture and skills from a focus on descriptive analytics supported by point solutions to a focus on advanced analytics supported by services and utilities

- Providing leadership in the evaluation, conceptualization, design, and development of new capabilities, ensuring that technology choices and tradeoffs anticipate future needs while effectively satisfying short term requirements

- Establishing and maintaining the global analytics data & technology strategy enabling standard use of data through managed suppliers, sourcing, ingestion and storage of high quality, authoritative data sets on a robust, scalable, flexible infrastructure; Providing technical leadership and guidance across functions and regions to support the evolution of analytics across the organization

Requirements :

Educational Qualifications : Engg (IT) + MBA. Additional Finance/ Banking related qualifications will be preferred

- Should have demonstrated experience in managing Analytics practice / function / sub-function P&L in the past

- Experience in predictive analytics, text analytics, unstructured data analytics, and/or Big Data concepts

- Deep knowledge of Banking and financial services

- Overall experience of 15-25 yrs with a minimum of 10-12 years supervisory experience and team management is required

- Should be a hands on professional and experienced and passionate in descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics

- Broad experience with multiple technologies in the area of business intelligence, reporting and descriptive analytics is required

- Demonstrated experience of scoping and managing large, complex engagements and delivering solutions within schedule and budget, which are first time right

- Experience with agile solution development methods is preferred

- Experience managing and working with multi-regional and multi-functional teams in a matrixed environment is required

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge on utilizing software development methodologies (waterfall, RUP, Agile) will be preferred

- Knowledge and experience in running centers of excellence, capability creation, training, content creation, managing knowledge artifacts and white papers on banking and related fields will be preferred

- Sound technical knowledge - Data base structures/querying, understanding of front end and middle ware functioning, user experience design will be preferred
