Position Specification: Leadership Analyst - Leadership & Succession About the Role A part of the Client Delivery Center (CDC) and reporting to the CDC Manager, with a dotted line to the Engagement Coordinator for respective assignments, the successful candidate will work closely with members of the L&S team in two main areas in support of executing Leadership and Succession engagements. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for 1) helping to write client executive assessment reports and 2) conducting 360 reference calls in support of executive assessments. Key Responsibilities Report Writing In preparation for report writing, this individual is responsible for interfacing with consultants to understand the client context, timeline, and key messages about the client, competency model, executive, team, and/or desired deliverable. S/he will also help in the collection of assessment data by conducting 360 referencing calls for assessment projects. S/he will then write draft reports that are a synthesized understanding of client's view of an individual's characteristics and capabilities, incorporating all relevant input. Input varies depending on the type of assessment and includes some or all of the following: Context in which the individual is functioning An interview with an industry/function expert and/or a leadership behavioral expert The executive's responses to an executive personality questionnaire such as client's proprietary model Leadership SpanTM and/or cognitive or reasoning questionnaires 360 references A comparison of individual to executives in similar roles, contexts or industries While guidelines are provided for data interpretation, writing style, and report structure, over time the individual will be expected to adapt to variances in consultants' styles and preferences. Conducting 360 Reference Interviews As a member of the engagement team, this individual will review materials about the client's context before conducting reference interviews (in person or via remote technology) Using a predetermined script, the Leadership Analyst will spend 30 or so minutes asking probing questions about the executive to get qualitative feedback on their abilities on various competencies During and after the interview, the Leadership Analyst will enter information from referee into the 360-template designed for that executive Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in psychology, journalism, or related field (Graduate degree preferred) - Experience in executive assessment or related fields is preferred, such as talent management, executive development, or organizational development Skills & Competencies - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - A professional and friendly communication style, as there is heavy contact with other firm members, clients and candidates - Advanced ability to interpret data - A high level of detail orientation to create top quality deliverables - Ability to work efficiently while also writing in a clear and articulate manner, utilizing a professional business tone with editorial styling - Strong service orientation to colleagues - Learning agility and desire to absorb new information quickly - Excellent time management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
