Job Description - A chance to work with the Industry's leading brand in a high visibility role as a part of the management team. The role will hold the overall responsibility for the global operations for the strategic sourcing & procurement business and play a key leadership role.

Our client is an American corporation with global revenues in the 100-110 billion USD range. Across all functions, the business has been spending a lot of effort on carving out the value enablers. The business is always looking for people who have "been there and done that" but still maintain a very enabling culture. They have aggressive growth plans for India and are looking for a Global Sourcing & Procurement Operations Leader driving the S2P process, based out of the Bangalore office.

Description:

The incumbent will have a matrix reporting structure and be responsible for:

- Define and continuously evolve the strategy for Source to Pay operations.

- The Procurement processes will include but not limit to Contract operationalization, PR to PO (including PO creation, amendments, deletion and exceptions), Procurement helpdesk, Catalog creation and maintenance, Rule based procurement and Invoice exception resolution management.


- Define and continuously evolve the Shared Service Catalog to define work/services delivered


- In alignment with Process Owners, develop and optimize end-to-end process and align with external best practice.


- Work closely with the adjacent process teams including Sourcing, Accounting & Finance, Treasury, Tax & Customs and Global IT organizations to ensure the highest level of service delivery.


- Based on benchmarks and metrics, drive organization to world class quality and performance metrics. Ensure corrective action as necessary.


- Oversee (and ensure alignment of) service pricing and allocation strategy and communication.


- Manage service level agreements and resource/cost allocation with internal stakeholders.


- Ensures process is such that all controls, policies, activities, and the deployment of resources within business are in compliance and 

consistent with the strategy


- Develop and build a philosophy of continuous improvement and service delivery


- Lead the improvement initiatives that are global in nature by providing strategic direction, implementation of readiness assessment for 

continuous process improvement and change management with internal and external stakeholders/partners


- Drive business requirements and business case based upon the best metrics to drive performance, value, and continuous improvement.


- Align and communicate organizational goals. Improve transparency by enhancing communication flow.


- Improve quality and efficiency (service and cost) by re-engineering, standardizing and optimizing business processes.


- Drive innovation in the process by looking at opportunities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to improve the efficiency of the End-to-end 

process


- Meet the agreed efficiency/ productivity targets by implementing CI projects and conducting talent and performance reviews, development and goal setting as well as succession planning for critical roles.


Profile

- Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain leadership roles in manufacturing business captives. Proficiency in all aspects of procure to pay (procurement process knowledge of shared service controls and other related process areas (Procure to Order, Invoice to Pay, etc).

- Strong decision making, critical thinking and analytics skills, coupled with high business acumen and the ability to translate principles of procurement theory into practical application. The candidate must have a proven track record of influencing at varied levels in the organization and working in a global, multi-cultural matrixed environment coupled with strong communication skills with ability to present concisely and descriptively in both oral and written format to all levels of management.

- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead, coach and develop a team along with experience in leading change to achieve desired results. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve conflict in an effective and timely manner. Experience in shared service management and business process understanding along with well-developed financial skills and understanding of Information Technology is important. Excellent project management skills.
