About the position :- This is a leadership role overseeing the entire of Investment Bank practice for Data Science &amp; Analytics. Our client is building Centre of Excellence for Advanced Automation and are looking for Data Scientists at all levels to work in the team. They will be part of project teams that are working on analytics initiatives to derive insights into business, operations or process data. Core Attributes: - Possess statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling skills to build the algorithms necessary to ask the right questions and find the right answers. - Ability to analyze business and process data to identify root causes, predict issues or forecast workloads - Collaborate with business managers, Subject Matter Experts, technical resources to be able to conceptualize and develop analytical models Principal Responsibilities: - Be the face of the company to all the clients. - Participate in new pursuits, play the role of Engagement manager along with building the solutions, POC's, guiding and building the team. - Manage multiple accounts. - Perform data analysis to identify and solve business problems - Assess the quality of data, find data deficiencies and work around data availability challenges towards performing analysis - Validate output of analytical models or machine learning based solutions, to be able to assess fitness for release to end users Required Technical Experience: - A thorough understanding of applied statistics including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis and data mining techniques - Experience in working with large structured and unstructured data sets - Fluency in the languages of data manipulation (e.g. SQL) and statistical analysis (e.g. R or Python/NumPy), with an ability to code (e.g. PHP) a plus, Java, Ruby, Clojure, Matlab, Pig or SQL - Understanding of Hadoop, Hive and/or MapReduce - Natural Language Processing - Machine Learning - Conceptual modeling - Statistical analysis &amp; Predictive modeling - Hypothesis testing Required Domain Experience and Soft Skills: - Ability to successfully partner and communicate with all levels of an organization - Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively both with IT, with business management and a demonstrated ability to influence and impact the business - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to forge relationships resulting in successful partnerships - Confident communicator; able to argue a point concisely and deal positively with conflicting views - Enthusiasm for learning &amp; results oriented Required Education: - Strong academic record and a Graduation/Post Graduation with high mathematical and computing content
