Key Accountabilities :

Accountability Cluster Major Activities/Tasks :
I. Create & develop baseline scope 3 across value chain in GSCM - Create baseline based on spend across categories & benchmark against external databases
- Based on the baseline lead the effort to create and maintain a sustainability vision and strategy for the function,
- Identify and prioritize areas for all functions for sustainability efforts and recommend strategies for proactively addressing relevant sustainability issues.
- Prioritize & segment categories for focussed execution of the sustainability initiatives against the agreed timeline,
- Define interventions that aid reduction of footprint & ensure supply security and manage costs,
- Outline a clear execution roadmap to deliver on the decarbonization agenda,
- Prepare and manage the sustainability budget in consultation with finance team,
- Keep abreast of best practices in sustainability and participate in conferences and related events to identify new ideas and practices.
II. Develop and monitor Sustainability Program Management in GSCM - Engage employees in cross-departmental sustainability efforts - Re3 (Regenerate, Revitalize, Restore)
- Develop, manage and analyze energy, waste and waste assessments for scope 3.
- Research and explore new technologies around waste, energy and GHG emissions reduction across suppliers engaged with the organisation,
- Continuously measure and monitor progress against sustainability strategies, objectives and performance targets,
- Interface with all government agencies relating to the company's responses to questions or statements of position on Scope 3 related matters
III. Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing organizational communications and education - Offer expertise and provide leadership-level support for initiatives to reduce function-wide resource consumption and waste generation.
- Facilitate internal and external communications and visibility as the company spokesperson on sustainability issues
IV. Act as an in-house expert on sustainability initiatives & drive implementation of the same - Provide inputs related to Scope 3 to internal departments,
- Operate as the point of contact for all queries related to Scope 3 from internal departments,
- Represent the organisation in all sustainability forums (Scope 3 focussed themes) & update them on the progress on each & every initiatives undertaken in the function across geographies / operations.
V. Oversee and ensure Compliance to regulatory requirements - Maintain current working knowledge of and ensures compliance with, all applicable local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws and regulations
VI. Capability Building - To coordinate & deploy capability building modules to improve SME knowledge in internal functions & help teams with tools to help them on various key themes like decarbonization, etc.
