Lead - Supply Chain & Operations (10-15 yrs)

Africa/Overseas/International/Ghana Job Code: 1040030

- Responsible for developing annual operating plan, Demand -supply plans including mix of outsourcing, external and internal capacities for warehousing and delivery in consonance with the annual business plan

- Based on Sales Forecasts, plan imports from origin-based plants orders, Vessel booking, shipments, imports and receipt of total inventories, warehousing and transit inventories to ensure optimization and efficiencies in working capital deployed.

- Be responsible for building robust Sales and Operations planning, demand forecasting process & supply plans based on the Plant capacities and shipment capabilities from different origins.

- Ensure that the Inventory Plan adequately reflects SKU level ordering/sourcing and corresponding SKU-wise Service Level in the market.

- Lead the strategic sourcing team in vendor development strategy

- Explore opportunities for alternate sourcing avenues for cost reduction and risk mitigation. Ensure cost of logistics is competitive through effective negotiations

- Oversee management of optimum inventory and undertake initiatives to reduce inventory carrying cost (Finished goods and distribution costs)

- Develop supply and logistics policies and processes as well as ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks on distribution of goods and services

- Support the Business Unit in achieving their Customer KPIs through timely availability of products as per the required quality specifications

- Ensure reliable procurement of supplies, improved service and quality, and reduced costs and supplier lead times as well as strengthening of supplier relationships.

- Meet and exceed expectations of internal customers on Quality & Availability of bill of materials (BOM) and project related purchases

- Establish mechanisms for getting the required input and feedback from distributors, partner and customers to develop understanding of their requirements

- Interface with user departments on issues like materials specifications, quality deviations, etc.
