LEAD SOLUTION ARCHITECT - BI & DATA GOVERNANCE


Role summary and background :

- BI & Data Governance together refer to the collection of strategies, processes and tools that enable an organization to transform its strategic goals into the business insights and analytics influencing all the major KPIs; while ensuring that the necessary data - availability, quality, integrity, security, privacy and audit - controls are adhered to.

- The Lead Solution Architect (BI & Data Governance) must lead the team of associate Solution Architects supporting the above. Additionally, he/she must promote clarity and bring in efficiency to the organization in using enterprise data, information and insights to drive decision-making effectively.

Responsibilities and accountabilities to lead in :

1. Collaborating with business stakeholders and the BI delivery team in developing self-service BI dashboards to provide data-driven insights.

2. Identifying opportunities to improve the overall user experience by continuously evolving these insights and reports.

3. Understanding overall usage patterns of key data pointers to maximize value out of the BI platform.

4. Evaluating emerging BI mechanisms, evolution of BI technologies and the best practices to define a future BI vision roadmap.

5. Rolling out an enterprise-wide data governance framework and policies, with a focus on improvement of organizational data - availability, quality, integrity, security, privacy and audit - controls.

6. Managing the organizational MDM and metadata creation; while leading the enterprise data warehouse documentation.

7. Coordinating & executing information governance improvements across the organization.

8. Partnering with various departments to create solutions that are aligned to corporate architecture standards, principles, leverage common solutions and services.

9. Mentoring team members to ingrain Business Intelligence & Data Governance solution architecture knowledge into them.

10. Working effectively in a fluid, fast-paced agile environment; must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
