Job Description - IT/Technical Program Manager (Scrum) As a Program Manager you will be a key part of our team that will define and develop products and experiences that transform education in India. We are looking for hands-on experts, who will be responsible for managing a host of technology projects that the team ventures into. The ideal candidate should have overall 8 - 12+ years of experience of which should have worked for at least 4- 8 years as a Program Manager or Scrum Master - Work independently with 2+ engineering team(s) to successfully deliver cross-functional projects (from inception to completion) that are of a high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, etc.). - Partner with technical managers to secure resources, scope technical efforts, set project priorities, milestones, and drive delivery to meet a deadline. - Able to transform raw thoughts into clear technical documentation and/or direction. - Keep the scope of engineering efforts under control and accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately. - Improve team processes that accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and/or improve quality. - Own the communication of project status. Regularly impart clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your leadership/management team and are effective in answering questions in detail. - Follow the agile scrum process to organize and facilitate sprint ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint demos and retrospectives at the end of each sprint - Facilitate and participated in Sprint planning, design, and estimation. - Monitor the Sprint Burndown and conducted daily stand up, encouraging open communication in the team. - Facilitate the team to estimate story points and measure velocity to plan future sprints Skills And Qualifications: - 6+ years of technology work experience with 3+ years as program manager or scrum master in product or service-based companies, a mix of early and mature stage company experience is a plus. Experience in EdTech or learning companies is a big plus. - Education -B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA+ Post graduate degree (MBA is preferred) - Experience with scrum techniques and handos understanding of the intricacies of managing work in a large technology team. Scrum certification would be preferred. - Technical understanding to work effectively with product team and engineers to decide on different SDLC paths - Effective decision maker and can help teams understand rationale and reasons for the decisions and roadmap direction - Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment - Self-starter, independent and excellent at driving teams and projects - Excellent communication skills at all levels small groups, large groups, and with executives
