Reports to : DIRECTOR, MDF BUSINESS
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Leads & executes the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process for MDF business. In this role you will directly interface with Marketing, Sales, Production, Logistics and Commercial. The S&OP Manager serves as the subject matter expert for production scheduling, demand forecasting, portfolio optimization, and capacity planning. S&OP manager has to ensure that the business achieve set contribution, production (OEE), & serviceability targets.
S&OP Performance Monitoring & Reporting- Understand the expectations of senior leadership teams in terms of key metrics and business processes to review, their frequency and cadence
- Work with functional teams to design the right set of performance dashboards for reporting of business performance metrics
- For the identified metrics and dashboards, ensure that the S&OP dashboards are prepared and shared with senior leadership timely
- Socialize dashboards and key insights with senior leadership teams, brief them before key reviews and prioritize business meetings for them based on dashboard indicators
- Collaborate with functional teams i.e. sales & marketing, production, logistics etc. and IT / MIS teams to ensure full automation of the performance dashboards through an internal website / mobile app.
Sales & Operations Planning:- Complete ownership to facilitate & execute weekly S&OP meeting
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust production scheduling model based on defined production & inventory management norms
- Manage key performance indicators e.g. OEE adherence, OET adherence, target contribution realization etc.
- Drive production change request & new SKU approval process
- Manage S&OP activities that provide analysis which drive business decisions relative to improving service level, efficiency and customer service via streamlining processes and cost savings projects (Continuous Improvement)
- Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvement to continually enhance the S&OP process
- Research business issues to identify potential problems that need to be raised to the S&OP community. This may include deep dive analysis of specific topic or area of concern
- Work closely with production planning and dispatch team to ensure target inventory levels for SKUs and target serviceability
- Translate business problems into analytics use cases (e.g. Plant OEE improvement, Pricing Analytics, OET improvement)
- Present business implications of initiatives to functional owners and work closely with functional teams to drive implementation of initiatives
Governance& Review Cadence- Define and follow a structured review cadence (weekly S&OP) with functional teams to discuss performance gaps and identify actions to drive improvement
- Ensure regular update meetings with senior leadership to update on business performance across key metrics & status of key initiatives
Team Structure - Report directly to the MDF leadership & coordinates and work closely with function leads within the MDF
KEY CAPABILITIES:- Exposure to sales & operations planning processes including demand management, production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management etc.
- Demonstrated achievement of driving change, continuous improvement, and exposure to lean supply chain techniques
- Past project management experience is a plus
- Past experience in MDF is a plus but not necessary
- Able to translate analysis into insights, initiatives, and business implications
- Distill complex results or processes into simple, clear visualizations/dashboards
- Strong project/team management skills including running tight governance cadence with business teams
- Managing teams /working directly with senior stakeholders
