Lead Project Consultant - NGO (7-15 yrs)

Key Responsibilities

- You will need to understand the issues behind the project, and help develop a strategy to combat the menace. This requires you to develop a deep understanding of the complexities involved in the project.

- You will be expected to lead a large sized Project Management Unit that will be based in Chandigarh, as well as in District HQ towns. This will involve recruitment & management of the resources within the PMU.

- As State Lead, you will have ownership of an agreed upon implementation plan. You will be responsible for ensuring that actions are completed in a timely manner.

- The success of the project lies in ensuring that we work closely & effectively with the Government. You will be required to build deep relationships across all levels of Government.

- The organization will depend heavily on external experts to help create a number of the solutions that are planned. You will need to manage these relationships & ensure that we get the best value for the outcomes that are developed. These could vary from projects that involve communication campaign development to development of technical solutions to other initiatives that are agreed upon from time to time.

- You will have to control budgets and build systems to track outcomes for Monitoring & Evaluation of the programs.

Eligibility

- Masters or equivalent degree in relevant fields, including business or development sector management, environmental studies or public policy with a strong track record of outstanding academic performance

- Work experience with managerial responsibilities, demonstrating excellent project delivery and relationship development with Government officials

- Understanding of Punjabi Language

Skill Sets Required

- Experience in managing internal as well as external team members; Ability to work and coordinate with teams remotely

- Strong planning, project management and organizational skills and an ability to set priorities, plan timelines and meet deadlines

- Great interpersonal skills and ability to interact and understand the needs of internal and external stakeholders

- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments; self-starter that can use good

- Judgement and resourcefulness to take action in the absence of clear guidance
