Policy, Compliance and Education Lead


Position Overview:

The Policy, Compliance, and Education Lead is a critical role responsible for ensuring that an organization operates in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This role requires a combination of expertise in policy development, compliance management, educational program design, and stakeholder engagement. The Policy, Compliance, and Education Lead collaborates across departments to establish and maintain effective policies, processes, and educational initiatives that promote ethical behavior and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Audit, Compliance, or a related field; MBA is a plus

- 10 years of proven experience in policy development, audit, compliance or legal

- Proficiency in regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and compliance methodologies

- Strong analytical skills to interpret regulations, assess risks, and develop appropriate policies

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

- Experience in designing and delivering educational programs or training

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to assess regulatory changes and adjust policies as necessary.

- Monitor and assess the organization's compliance with policies and regulations, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.

- Lead cross-functional teams to implement compliance initiatives, ensuring that policies are effectively communicated and understood by employees.

- Design and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on policies, regulations, and ethical behavior.

- Work with internal audit and quality assurance teams to conduct regular assessments of policy adherence and compliance effectiveness.

- Collaborate with business units to integrate compliance considerations into their processes and operations.

- Investigate and resolve instances of non-compliance, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

- Provide guidance to departments on policy-related matters, offering advice on how to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends that could impact the organization's compliance posture.

- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry groups to stay informed about compliance requirements.

- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on compliance status, challenges, and recommendations.

- Promote a culture of ethics and compliance by fostering awareness, accountability, and responsibility at all levels of the organization.

Educational/Compliance Program Design:

- Experience in designing and delivering compliance training programs and educational initiatives.

- Ability to create engaging training content and materials that effectively communicate complex regulatory information.

Stakeholder Management:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across departments and levels.
