Packaging Procurement Lead

Job Overview :

- The Packaging Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing all aspects of packaging procurement for our company.

- The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams including production, marketing, and supply chain to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality packaging materials at optimal costs.

- The successful candidate will have a proven track record in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement packaging procurement strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability goals.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine packaging needs, including material requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with key vendors.

- Develop and manage supplier performance metrics to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.

- Continuously monitor market trends and identify opportunities to improve packaging procurement processes.

- Manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.

- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, suppliers, and logistics providers.

- Lead the packaging procurement team, providing guidance and support to team members to achieve their goals and objectives.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

- 12plus years of experience in packaging procurement, preferably within the FMCG industry.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor relationships.

- Knowledge of sustainability principles and experience in implementing sustainable procurement practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience in managing teams and providing leadership and guidance to team members.
