Lead - Investor Relations/M&A - Startup (12-18 yrs)

- We have been retained by a leading tech based startup to hire a Lead (Investor Relations/M&A) . Our client has been growing at an exponential rate and is widely recognized for the work they do. They have attracted significant funding and are looking for a strong leader who will working very closely with Co-founders and be a critical member of a highly visible investor relations team.

- This is a Mumbai based startup and to fit the bill you must have led fund-raise for a high-growth startup in the recent past, have robust hands-on understanding of financial modelling for a growing business. At least 12 years of post-MBA (Tier 1 college with Finance specialisation) experience is a must have.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Design and own detailed financial models and provide direct support to top management on M&A and strategic financial planning.

- Lead all fund raising for the company

- Develop and manage relationships with current investor and create a network of target investors for various markets and geographies.

- Oversee development of all external material, investor reports and material for Investor meetings conference.

- Create and maintain a strong reputation by demonstrating clear and consistent information between internal and external shareholders.

- Manage various equity and industry research and maintain strong company and industry expertise.

- Create benchmarks for team and train them for seamless execution at all levels of transaction.

What you bring to fit the bill:

- MBA from a tier 1 business school followed by 12+ years of relevant experience in leading Finance Strategy at a high growth startup backed by experience in IB/ corporate development or related industries.

- Established reputation in the investment community and outstanding investment and financial modelling and analysis skills.

- Significant experience in managing end to end M&A.

- Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to create inclusive work environments.

- Detail-oriented with an analytical blend of mind, you bring strong ethics and the ability to deal with highly confidential information.
