Lead - Fraud Risk Management (12-18 yrs)

- Working as part of a Risk Management function, you will be responsible for the implementing a comprehensive fraud risk management framework / Model covering Cards & Online Transaction.


- You will have an expert knowledge of fraud, with an in depth understanding of fraud risks, fraud prevention and awareness of industry wide fraud risks.


- A good understanding of the Software/Product Development Lifecycle including IT project accounting will give you a competitive advantage for this role, as will experience working in the payments/financial services industry.

- You should have outstanding facilitation skills and experience of influencing senior management, both individually and collectively in decision forums. You will need excellent written communication skills enabling you to provide comprehensive reports for use at Board level.

Primary Responsibilities :

1) Partner with Product, Technology and Operations teams to conceive, design, and monitor fraud strategies in order to mitigate fraud risk in the most precise manner possible; recommend which product features to build and why.

2) Develop, augment and validate fraud identification and prevention solutions and processes and ensure appropriate cross-functional support to deal with systematic and malicious fraud events.

3) Oversee analytical support to mitigate risk, enable revenue growth, and drive profitability through diverse analytical projects; analyze the effectiveness of existing fraud models and oversee the design, development, and management of new real-time fraud rules and models.

4) Develops trending reports and key indicators to serve as early warning risk indicators for potentially fraudulent activity.

5) Partners with internal stakeholders across the company to effect change and promote awareness through the coordination of fraud detection monitoring of system enhancements and statistical trend analysis.

6) Build and manage a team of fraud analysts to deliver results as well as engage in people development and hiring decisions for the fraud management function

7) Implementation of an internal fraud risk management framework, with initiatives covering prevention, detection and response work streams.

8) Review existing control environment and asses effectiveness against known fraud schemes. Identify control gaps and create insightful analysis to support the implementation of new controls to reduce fraud risk.

9) Fully investigate all known instances of fraud, ensuring integrity of evidence always. Carry out root cause analysis and propose remedial actions to reduce likelihood of recurrence.

10) Deliver antifraud education, awareness and training initiatives to promote a fraud prevention culture across the Hyderabad office.

11) Provide comprehensive and timely risk reporting for governance committees.

12) Drive and conduct meetings/workshops with system participants.

13) Liaise with banks, law enforcement agencies and regulators.

Required Candidate profile

- Minimum 10 years of fraud risk Management experience . Recognized fraud prevention qualification desired CFE, ACFS, CIA, CPA,.

- Excellent knowledge of Fraud Modelling and associated risks desired, with technical audit experience and/or qualification CISA, CISSP.

- Must be able to work independently, managing time and multiple work streams effectively.

- Robust, credible, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly

- Able to work within a team to manage projects and deliverables to completion

- Strategically agile and possess excellent influencing and presentation skills

- Able to develop and articulate strategy and long term objectives for others in an engaging and collaborative manner

- Expert knowledge and understanding of payment systems products
