Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Lead Equity Research Analyst to join the Institutional Equities team of our client, a leading investment bank. As a Lead Equity Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in providing insightful and in-depth analysis of the Auto sector, creating a differentiated equity research product.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough and innovative research on companies within the Auto sector, going beyond traditional analysis to uncover unique insights and investment opportunities.

- Think out of the box and deep dive into companies to identify key drivers of performance, assess competitive positioning, and provide differentiated perspectives to clients.

- Demonstrate strong sectoral knowledge to create research notes that offer a comprehensive global overview of the sector in the context of India, while also predicting global trends that will impact the Auto sector.

- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends that will impact the sector.

- Showcase the research product to institutional clients, effectively communicating investment ideas and generating revenue for the firm.

- Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales and Trading, to ensure the research is effectively distributed to clients and aligned with investment strategies.

- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of companies within the Auto sector, providing timely updates and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- CA qualification or an MBA in Finance or a related field

- CFA certification is a plus

Experience

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in equity research, with a strong focus on the Auto sector.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Proven ability to think critically, conduct in-depth analysis, and provide differentiated perspectives on companies within the sector.

- Strong sectoral knowledge and ability to connect global trends with the Indian Auto industry.

- Familiarity with the latest technology trends and their impact on the sector.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to institutional clients.

- Track record of generating revenue through research products and cultivating strong client relationships.

- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
