Digital Marketing Lead
Job Overview :
- Client is looking for a Digital Marketing Lead/ Manager who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and loves the challenge of discovering what makes consumers "click".
- As a Digital Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for User Acquisition, Activation
- Our ideal candidate is a passionate & experienced growth professional preferably from a modern media brand or a content first tech startup.
Primary Responsibilities :
User Acquisition :
- Driving month on month traffic growth on Inc42 website through channels like search, google news, social media, paid marketing & partnerships with content aggregators
- Create & execute PR & Distribution strategies and implement them with help of the team
- Continuously build new channels for new user acquisitions using platforms like quora, reddit, telegram etc
- Work with the product team to optimize the website for user experience metrics like load time, avg. time on page and other user engagement metrics
- Work with editorial team to share insights on content performance and ensure new content production with the help of editorial team
- Work with editorial team to identify content opportunities and optimize existing content performance
User Activation :
- Converting unknown visitors to known users
- Grow newsletters audience along with continuous optimization of newsletter levers
- Create and manage lead magnets on Inc42 website like giveaways, reports, referral programs etc
- Plan, initiate & grow new activation channels like Whatsapp, Slack Communities, Telegram etc
- Work with editorial team to create and launch new newsletters and content properties for growth in activation
- Create frameworks for the complete activation part of the funnel and continuously optimize and evolve it with the help of product, editorial and design teams.
User Engagement :
- Track, analyse & report key user engagement metrics like time on page, pages/sessions, sessions/user etc
- Create a framework for month on month growth of user engagement across Inc42's website and distribution channels
- Collaborate with product team for product improvements to increase user engagement
- Collaborate with editorial team for content requirement and feedback from user engagement standpoint
- Collaborate with brand team for product designs and copies for experiments in the user engagement bucket including promotional and transactional email, newsletters, onsite user experience and other channels
- Management & Reporting
- Hiring, training, and managing a high-performing marketing team
- Create reports and insightful dashboards for marketing & editorial teams for daily, weekly, monthly reporting
- Create interactive dashboards for key stakeholders for review of marketing & content performance
- Create, maintain & run the key processes for SEO, content feedback etc keeping all key stakeholders in loop
Professional Traits :
- 5+ years of experience in growth & marketing
- Preferably from a modern media startup or content tech companies
- Has a strong understanding of content and is fluent in communications
- Has demonstrated experience in growth and scaling user acquisition at scale
- Should have strong experience in Email Marketing, SEO & Social Media
- Experience in PR, Media Partnership & Design Operations is a plus
- Must have managed a team of 6+ in the past and has a great operational bent
- Must have a strong operational, analytical background, should be tech savvy and think from first-principles
