Lead - Data Privacy - Telecom (10-16 yrs)

- To Develop and execute data privacy strategies including embedding these into ways of working

- Maintain an inventory of all affiliate activities involving the processing of personal data

- Ability to perform of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for all new personal data processing activities or significant changes to existing ones

- Ability to act as the subject matter expert in global, regional, and local data privacy policies and regulations. This should include having served as the point of escalation data privacy requests and inquiries, including liaising with

Data Protection Authorities :

- Facilitate and oversee the documentation of key data transfers

- Plan and deliver the delivery of data privacy awareness and training in a risk-based manner

- Contribute to the correct and timely handling of potential personal data breaches

- Manage the handling of non-routine data subject requests (e.g. privacy related complaints from individuals) and monitor the handling of routine data subject requests to ensure correct and timely responses

- Help, in liaison with the Law Department, managing the handling of requests from data protection authorities to ensure correct and timely responses

- Monitor compliance with privacy obligations and GDPR requirements and track the execution of necessary actions, including through the timely performance of, and follow-through on, accurate and high-quality Privacy Compliance Assessments (PCAs) performed in prioritized, risk-driven manner

- Provide regular updates on the status and progress on data privacy to management and other stakeholders and promptly escalate on privacy issues as necessary.


- Strong individual with the ability to communicate and coordinate at all levels

- Excellent attention to detail with good verbal and writing ability

- Ability to coordinate lots of information in a matrix management structure

- Record-keeping, to ensure timely, accurate and complete privacy records are present in the central registers


Educational Qualification: Minimum Requirements

- BE/B. Tech/MCA

Certification : CIPP/CIPM, GDPR

Work Experience: Minimum Work Ex. Required

- 10 to 12 year of experience in IT Security and 6 years in Data Privacy

Technical Skills and Capabilities (Primary - Must have) :

- Deep knowledge of data privacy legislation including protection strategy, internal controls, data retention strategy and terms, data visibility, and access rights

- Should have hand-on experience in IT Security

Technical Skills and Capabilities (Secondary - Nice to have):

Certification : CIPT
