Lead Data Modeler - Global Analytics and Insights Firm

Role Description :

- Design, develop, maintain and update the enterprise data model at NBF and be the point of contact for all matters associated with enterprise data model and its usage, availability for downstream data management applications.

- Experience required: 6+ years post qualification experience preferably in the banking industry

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand and translate business needs (based on requirements documents, source to target mapping and metadata documents) into data models to support forward looking data applications that would be developed on solid data foundation (ODS, MDM, DWH, Data marts etc.)

- Develop and maintain the conceptual, logical and physical data models as per data modeling policy standards and work very closely to the Data architect to understand existing data landscape at NBF as that will help in design decisions during the model development

- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency with the data models

- Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects as necessary and communicate the change impact to relevant teams

- Review modifications to existing data modeling software to improve efficiency and performance of the data model and continuously analyse data related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions

- Be the point of contact for technical resources such as data integration specialists, BI developers and Data Scientists with regards to data model understanding

Skills & Qualifications :

Technical & Soft Skills:

- Thorough understanding of the Banking industry domain, banking business architecture and banking industry data model

- Sound knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling concepts

- Experience with leading data modeling tools (Erwin Data Modeler) and enterprise data model development in financial services organization

- Excellent people & problem-solving skills; strong critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, non-verbal)

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications :

- Master / Bachelor's Degree Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field

- Business Data Modeling Certification
