Lead - Compliance & Risk - FinTech Startup

1. Lead the compliance, onboarding and transaction risk monitoring functions at Skydo

2. Create and evangelise KYC / AML / CFT and other policies and SOPs to ensure regulatory compliance as well as meet requirements and expectations of partner banks, regulators and other financial institutions

3. Work with Product, Engg teams to implement the above policies and guardrails while optimising user experience and value. Co-own business metrics related to onboarding conversion and transaction TAT.

4. Manage audits and meet reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner, including reporting of suspicious transactions.

5. Monitor and mitigate various types of risk including AML, CFT, InfoSec, privacy etc. Including transaction level risk monitoring and interventions.

6. Partner with Product and Engg teams to build and launch new products. Continuously innovate to improve customer experience while minimising risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

7. Hire and manage a compliance team, including MLRO, Transaction Monitoring, Compliance Ops and other relevant functions.

8. Build compliance strategic priorities, programs, and teams and promote a culture of compliance.

9. Collaborate with partners to evaluate areas of potential risk or non-compliance

10. Analyse jurisdictional regulations and develop policies and procedures to meet AML, money transmission, and other applicable regulatory requirements
