Position Title : Compliance Lead

Total Exp. Required : 12-17 Yrs

Qualification : CS/CA/LLB

Job Location : Mumbai

 Key purpose of the job:

Responsible for driving compliance management program along with the functional heads and monitor compliance reporting with the implementation of processes and systems for ensuring compliance in the Organisation.

Strategic :

- Define and maintain the standards & framework for, overall compliance across the company

- Drive institutionalization of proper systems & processes to enable monitoring and ensuring legal compliances

- Formulate, execute & Implement various charters, policies, constitution of various committees, to bring in an efficient system of Corporate Compliance and other statutory regulations

- Keep abreast of changing regulatory & compliance requirements, both from and external & internal perspective, and ensure incorporation of any changes into compliance framework

- Ensure continuous improvement in compliance processes, through initiatives around knowledge management, standardization, technology enhancements etc.

Operational :

- Ensure awareness of line managers on all compliances required to be maintained through training, periodic information dissemination and counsel

- Assist the functional teams to ensure that all statutory & regulatory requirements are adhered to

- Develop/maintain an awareness and communication of compliance program

- Prepare training materials and conduct training for internal and external stakeholders

- Prepare & manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other related documentation

- Provide technical guidance to users, administrators, management, auditors, external parties etc. as required and resolve critical issues

- Support users in remediation / implementation of compliance tasks by providing guidance / involving SME wherever required

- Implement internal monitoring & control systems to ensure adherence to the compliance framework

- Oversee the compliance framework implementation on an overall basis; tracking the completion of compliance submission status and liaising with functional HODs for delays/non compliance

- Publish monthly compliance MIS report to leadership showing compliance status of submissions and approvals done in the tool; proactively identify & highlight risk areas with proposed solutions for risk mitigation

- Assess the impact of amendment/guidelines/new laws along with the functions and necessary changes are done in the compliance tool along with the functions

- Work collaboratively with senior leaders for developing tools/strategies for better risk monitoring

- Conduct risk based assessments on processes in order to better determine areas of focus for internal controls. Evaluating the design effectiveness of internal control processes.

- Conduct compliance testing of areas that pose high regulatory risks

- Publish stress testing report along with observations and remediation plan. Follow up with users on remediation plan and provide assistance (if required)

- Monitor and support tool administrator in resolution of open queries and drive

- Guide Tool Administrator in driving user management efficiently and effectively

Developmental :

Stay updated about the latest amendments in various Acts, Rules, Regulations, Circular, Notification, etc. issued by the authorities/government from time to time, which will have impact on the real estate business across the country
