POSITION TITLE:

Lead Change and Communications

LOCATION:

IS Service Desk - Chennai, India

POSITION PURPOSE

The primary object of this role is to ensure the adoption of the business and customer outcomes. This strategic (design) and hands on delivery (implementation) role manages all aspects of Change & Communications Management. This includes line management accountability for the Communications and Change related staff. Flexibility is fundamental as the roles- key purpose is to integrate easily with people and teams throughout the business to collaborate on and add value to project outcomes.

Change Approach

- Define & maintain mandate of Change

- Select and on an on-going basis leverage change standard (e.g. Kotter).

- Contribute and align to Product Roadmap.

- Clear evidence of smart tailoring and effective remediation (leveraging e.g. a fast fail approach).

- Team effectiveness measurements versus plan and other squads/teams.

- Positive feedback re participating in product roadmap sessions.

Team/Staff Leadership (People Mgmt)

- Lead Change Function building a high performing team, continuously improving team cohesion and capability.

- 360-degree feedback from Team

- Team effectiveness measurements versus plan and other squads/ teams.

Change Project Management

- Manage the estimation, capacity planning, and scheduling ensuring everything aligns behind the squad/stream and program target outcomes.

- Manage the plan on an ongoing basis ensuring the plan changes with demand/supply.

- Clear evidence of prioritisation and nimble planning/re-planning to focus on the priorities of the business

- Feedback from Stream and Squad Leads

- Delivery Metrics targets being met and measured.

Change Management

- Develop and implement change programs and activities to support the implementation of applicable Programs

- Facilitate and drive end user adoption of program outcomes across the entire organisation and stakeholder pool.

- Apply simple, effective structured approaches to support people through the change journey

- Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, use and skill proficiency in response to change where appropriate

- Interface with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate to support the delivery of agreed change management activities (e.g. into P&C)

- Implementation per plan

- Positive measurable data points based on formal change management system

- Adoption of Delight Customers tool set

- End user satisfaction states that the delight solution is easy to understand, helps in driving business value and makes things easier for them to be personally successful as measured through online polls/surveys.

- Feedback from BSS Communication Support the Communications Lead in driving the establishment and execution of all communication plans to support the achievement of program outcomes.

- Contribute to the creation of high quality communication content for delivery to internal and external audiences as appropriate.

- Prominent advocate of JAM leading from the front.

- Implementation per plan

- Positive measurable data points based on formal communications system

- End user satisfaction of the communications experience measured through surveys and JAM discussion forums

- High adoption of JAM discussion forums with users participating in voting/collaborating on product roadmaps

- Feedback from BSS Training (partner service)

- Support the Training Lead in driving the establishment and execution of all training plans to support the achievement of program outcomes.

- Positive measurable data points based on formal communications system

- Feedback from Stakeholders via regular Pulse Checks and ad-hoc/regular formal feedback

- Feedback from Training Lead Innovation & Continuous Improvement of Practices. Be the innovator, set the pace, think forward

- Actively drive the sharing of information, knowledge and resources across the business for the benefit of the organisation as a whole.

- Identify opportunities for increasing sharing and implement activities to leverage these opportunities as agreed.

- Identify existing practices and activities in operation in one part of the organisation that can be leveraged across the business. Agree projects and/or plans to successfully leverage them.

- Incorporate best practices (Kotter Model) and lessons learned into future projects and activities.

- Retrospectives

- Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification):

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Change Management and / or operational roles that have a significant change focus

- Strong project management skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple stakeholders and activities

- Experience in business process design and process mapping

- Ability to interact effectively with management and staff at all levels with solid interpersonal skills

- Ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders that may be located in geographically disperse locations and / or different cultures

- Ability to exercise good judgment within broadly-defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

- Cultural awareness and the ability to adapt style and approach to suit a particular audience

- Strong written and oral communication skills, including skills in developing and delivering presentations for audiences of all levels of business

- Self-starter; ability to work under minimal supervision

- Ability to gain commitment from others, effectively manage expectations and competing priorities.

- Experience managing blended teams (consultants, contractors, employees) AND teams with an onshore / offshore mix.

- Able to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple competing priorities.

- Excellent communicator; that can inspire a team and provide consistent leadership.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. IELTS equivalent 7.0 overall minimum.

- Certified in Kotters 8 Step Change Model or similar.

- Alignment to IDP culture and values.

Desirable requirements (leadership & team/project capabilities):

- Experience in Agile projects and/or Agile delivery work streams/squads.

- Experience in education, digital transformation or with SAP Cloud technologies would be a strong advantage.
