Position - Proof of Concept (PoC) Lead/AVP/VP- SmartCities

Location - New Delhi.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the solution architecture and development for Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements with smart city clients- teams

- Design & architecture for the POC solution, in line with the technical roadmap agreed with client

- Working with partners for development & testing for the POC solutions including vendor identification, preparing product requirement document, agreeing project plan & timelines, commercials & project managing the entire engagement

- Refine PoC process including scope, vendor, duration, KPIs and jointly develop a responsibility-sharing criterion for all parties involved - Build & train team of developers and designers needed to implement the PoC, ensuring ESAT and taking accountability for the team

- Modifying the solution design / code basis test result and inputs received from client

- Coordinating with vendors to install necessary hardware at PoC site, integrating applications with smart city systems, as required

- Providing necessary support to the smart city client in terms of engineering, monitoring, incident management, helpdesk throughout the duration of the PoC

- Once PoC is complete to client satisfaction, work with Chief Digital Officer (CDO) & Head - Innovation to productize the PoC into a marketable solution which can be offered to existing and potential smart city clients. This includes: o Partnership with vendors and OEMs for sourcing the key product hardware and software

- Bundling the product with other products or services to be offered as a complete solution

- Developing necessary in-house capability such as infrastructure, network & communication, data centre, applications and use-cases

- Providing installation, system integration & training services at the time of deployment at client location

- Creating SOPs for solution architecture and development according to smart city industry best practices and ensuring compliance by team

- Creating and maintaining knowledge database to be used by the digital team

- Preparing & disseminating training material for the PoC design and development team

- Prepare budgets for POC design & development activity accounting for third party agency fee within the scope of ORGANISATION- S Annual operating plan (AOP)

- Tracking, monitoring and documenting each step of the solution development process and giving periodic updates to client and ORGANISATION- S management

Qualifications

- B.E/B.TECH in Computer Science / Electronics / Telecom or equivalent qualification in related fields

- MS/M.Tech. or MBA in IT or Business-Related field will be an added advantage

- Certification in AI/ML, AWS, Azure, QA tools preferred.

Experience

- Strong experience as Solution architect with at least last 2 years in smart city sector, additionally, airport experience preferred

- Good understanding of smart city sectors and relevant technology trends and partner ecosystem

- Ability to convert smart city required into technical design

- Handling end-to-end projects such as IT solutions for clients including design, architecture, development, POC, solutioning & deployment

- Knowledge of RFP / RFQ management, Requirement understanding, Solutioning, Sizing & Impact Analysis, Measurement & High-Level Estimation, Maintenance & Impact analysis, Risk

- Expertise in tools such as NetBeans, Eclipse, CVS, SQL Developer, MS Project, Tomcat, Glassfish

- Knowledge of programming Languages such as Java,C++,Unix,Python

- Working in a multi-vendor setup

Day-to-day responsibilities

- Liaising with client cities for understanding requirements during pre-POC phase and execution support during POC implementation

- Designing & developing solutions & applications for client POCs

- Supporting client cities in identifying relevant new technologies and solutions for operational optimization and enhancement of passenger experience

- Working with vendors to procure necessary hardware, software or services

- Define successful exit criteria for POC closure

- Working with Head - Innovation to productize successful POCs to be marketed to current and potential clients

Desired Qualities / Skills

- Scrum/agile methodology experience

- Cloud, ESB/SOA,EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), B2B integration

- Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, team members and client teams

- Ability to plan the project, coordinate the team and control the process

- Exposure to design thinking principles and problem - solving skills
