- Application Development Lead would oversee all activities related to design &amp; development of applications for various projects undertaken by business functions. - The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implement best practices and technology standards for development of IT applications - Experience of managing team handling various development platforms like ABAP, Fiori, .NET, PhP, Azure, AWS etc. alongwith Low-code development tools Key Accountabilities : Construct statements as: - Verb - what is done - Objective - to what/whom - Result - with what outcome (why) To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the application development lifecycle - To define process for writing clean and healthy structured, well documented code - To build future-proof reusable core code libraries, which can be shared, in-order to drive further efficiencies throughout the team - To deliver code which is well tested and consistently error free - To facilitate technology and methodology decision making, including standardisation of system architecture, reusable code base development, versions of software tools, best practice, source control and deployment processes - To design and build database schemas with integrity and scalability with data access layers that are optimised for performance and security - To deliver and support applications developed on various platforms as per business requirement ensuring delivery within defined timelines and planned budget. - Discussion with Business Analysts to understand the requirement and finalizing the development platform - Finalize detailed delivery / testing plan - Manage and optimize development processes and team for application development and fixing issues reported during testing and pilot deployment - To use your experience when reviewing and auditing legacy code - To assist in critical support issues where experience is required to ascertain the issue quickly and to find the more appropriate resolution - To take control over critical support instances and putting into place the correct escalation and process to manage and resolve issue as soon as possible Lead, mentor &amp; develop team of Sr. Developers &amp; Developer, constantly honing their professional skills - Responsibilities will include technical recruitment, appraisals, identifying training needs, motivating and performance managing the team - To plan for team growth considering the blend/level of skills required within team - To make sure that all team members have the latest in-depth knowledge of all projects or enhancements that they make - Developing strategies for implementation of new technologies and supporting business for deployment of the same - To proactively drive innovation with new ideas and evaluate options available by new technologies - To maintain and actively contribute to a list of innovation projects - To drive the strategic direction of our products &amp; services taking into account emerging and legacy technologies
