Analytics Engagement Lead 8+ years' experience, preferably in management consulting or Retail/Media industry in an analytical capacity Essential Functions : - Emphasis is on providing insights to the client, guidance to the team and managing end to end engagements with a retail and media focus - The position requires the ability to combine data analysis, statistical modeling, data visualization and UI design, and communication in order to deliver high impact results - Structure analytical solution to address business objectives - Provide business acumen and hypothesis - Responsible for project planning and delivery - Effectively guide the team around problem structuring and use of analytics (tools and techniques) to carry out analysis - Presenting work to, liaison with and build relationships with the client as required Primary Responsibilities : - Dual shore project management, coordination of all sub-team efforts, both onsite and offsite - Strong communications, including deck writing - Facilitation and gathering of client feedback on problem structuring - Management of frequency of feedback loop with team - Identify gaps and help build capabilities in junior team members - Mentor other team members and partners on technical skills, best practices, problem solving approaches, both formally in structured group settings and informally in one-on-one and small group sessions - Continuously improve technical design patterns, workflows, and tools-defining and enforcing standards when necessary to sustain the solutions' effectiveness and sustainable, and experimenting with and promoting adoption of new tools and approaches when appropriate - Proactively generalize and share technical approaches and best practices among other developers, and simplify and communicate success stories to broader audiences across the company - Develop and grow Retail & Media practice within the UK working with the leadership team in the UK and globally Technical Skills : - Experienced in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), BI Tools (MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.), programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, etc.), statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, Weka, SAS, Matlab) - Experience in test & learn methodology and experimentation frameworks - Experience of working in agile formats across multiple squads - Experience with one or more web analytics platforms (ex: Google Analytics, Adobe Sitecatalyst, IBM Coremetrics, Kissmetrics or Webtrends) is a plus - Has at least one or more of the following experiences: - Experience implementing and/or working with clickstream web analytics tools such Adobe Analytics (Omniture SiteCatalyst), Google Analytics; or working knowledge of the field of web analytics - Building and presenting media mix, digital attribution, pricing and price elasticity models. Ability to grasp multifactorial test designs and analyze impact of such tests. Social media analytics using sentiment, geo-targeting, text mining etc. - Experience in building/managing marketing communications strategy and recommendation engines to arbitrate among competing communications to customers. - Experience in omni-channel engagement, remarketing and customer segmentation - Advanced Analytics and Data Modelling - Implementing machine learning techniques and advanced statistical modeling such as Nave Bayes, SVM, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting. Guiding junior members of the team in building ML solutions Soft Skills : - Superior analytical and problem solving skills - Strong people management skills and experience - Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to take initiative - Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
