The Marketplace business is an internet-commerce based platform where sellers across various domains can list their products, pricing and positioning, while receiving support from the marketplace owners in terms of warehouse and logistics, paying a service fee to the marketplace platform in exchange for the listing and e-commerce services.

Job Description

Reliance Retail is looking for an experienced Advertising leader to help us build and scale account management and program management capabilities for display and search advertising functions within the assigned categories on an Ecommerce Marketplace. This role will have a high degree of autonomy. The person will be responsible for incubation and running programs responsible for driving advertiser success. He/she will build processes and capabilities to manage large scale advertiser campaigns, establish critical internal and external partner relationships and driving adoption for the ad serving products. He/she will get an opportunity to work with various ecommerce, marketing, sales and product leaders and stakeholders across the organization to offer the right ad servicing to the advertisers.

The ideal candidate will have operations / program management background preferably in the digital advertising space, proven track record of building a large scale ad serve model through adoption of operations best practices, building a robust team of Ops/Program/Account managers and nurturing them to drive business outputs, driving the desired campaign metrics, possess strong communication/articulation skills, and have the ability to think strategically and analytically about the business, product, and market opportunities and challenges. He/she will have a keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to win!

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and manage ad operations, account management, program management and advertiser servicing strategies for the owned categories with an output goal of managing revenue and long-term growth

- Work closely with Sales, Ecommerce Category teams and Product teams to understand the revenue and product vision, align, and work to offer the right ad servicing to the advertisers. Work with these teams to effectively implement the best practices to positively impact all new and existing advertisers on the platform

- Build and lead a strong team of account managers and program managers, and work towards keeping them motivated and focussed to deliver on their responsibilities and thus grown in their careers

- Engage with ecommerce heads, brand managers and agency partners of brands within the category. Manage high potential advertisers though managed advertising model and assisted self-serve programs to reach their performance goals and achieve other advertising objectives

- Work with business analytics teams/use analytics expertise to proactively identify opportunities to increase revenue and advertising performance

- Build and deliver campaign optimization and advertiser recommendation processes and programs to function at scale to drive advertiser success. Constantly look for process and product improvements

- Own internal WBR/MBR/QBR and key business metrics like ad revenue within category and conduct deep dive analysis to provide reporting on the business and drive further opportunities

Skill & Competencies

- 8+ years of experience in leading digital advertising account management, program management, partner management or advertising sales

- Proven track record of building a large-scale ad servicing model through adoption of operations best practices and building a robust team of Ops/Program/Account managers

- Ability to develop and execute operations and servicing strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs

- Strong analytical thinker who likely hails from a leading publisher, consumer company or technology firm or sophisticated interactive advertising agency

- Can thrive in fast paced, start up like dynamic environments

- Demonstrated ability to consistently manage large advertisers - brands/sellers through account managed and self-serve advertising programs

- Strong analytical ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through

- Ability to build, motivate and nurture large scale teams and develop a sense of belonging for the common vision amongst them

- Proven analytical skills and metrics driven approach to manage the advertising programs

- Have a keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to win

Basic Qualification:

- Graduate with an MBA from a premier institute preferred

- 8+ years of Operations/account management/program management/partner management experience in the digital advertising space

- People management experience

- Self-motivated Individual with positive attitude and a great team player

- Experience working on advertising products like Google AdWords and other ad serving platforms

- Passion for e-commerce is required. Previous experience with e-commerce, retail, advertising, or media would be an advantage particularly in the seller ecosystem

- Experience using advance excel, Tableau/Power BI and SQL would be plus
