At Lawnics, our core goal is to transform 300-year-old work practices for digital age, by building AI assistants that help lawyers, organizations, government and Judiciary to make their services faster, smoother and cost-effective.

Founder:

Founder is an alumnus of National Law University. He is currently a lawyer with learning experience from Fortune 5oo firm, Senior Lawyer, Law firms, PSUs, NGOs, and Judges. His love for technology and design has introduced him to the field of computational law and its application in real world. Now, he is excited to meet a CTO who can be partner in crime and turn his research into working application.

Your position will be:

Chief Technical Officer/ Technical Lead/ Batman (as you will help fight injustice)

Work experience:

4-10 years (Work experience from a startup is a plus)

Education qualification:

UG (must)/ PG (better)/Doctorate (Best) from IITs/IIITs/ BITS/NITs

Abilities we are looking for:

- Technology Leadership: You should have the ability to lead the technology part of the startups and envision the product as per founder's vision. You constantly keep yourself updated with all new trends, technologies and approaches that could make our product better. You should be able to develop team and nurture their talent while working towards startup goals. You should be able to organize yourself and team to complete the entire tasks at hand in timely and cost efficient manner without compromising the quality.

- Good Communications: You should have good written and verbal communication skills. You will be responsible to understand the domain requirements and work closely with the founder on product development. You should be able to generate thought leadership content that may help you position yourself and startup as tech leader in legal field. You must be able to prepare presentation for pitches or any speaking opportunities at different forums and influence people with our core mission.

- Entrepreneur Mindset: You should be problem solver, customer-centric, goal-oriented, positive thinker, flexible, all about action and team player who can work smartly to turn adversities into new opportunities.

You will be a great match to our technical requirements if:

- You have deep expertise and understanding of Natural language Processing. You must have hands on experience in developing and maintaining NLP based project that includes text classification, information extraction, relationship extraction, language modeling, Information retrieval, summarization, shallow parsing, automated indexing and unsupervised clustering. (Highly required)

- You have gained reasonable experience on working with Computer vision application using OpenCV and OCR libraries. (Intermediate requirement)

- You must be proficient in collecting (Scrapping), preprocessing, analyzing dataset and choosing features in order to get the best output using Machine-learning models as per domain requirement. Moreover, you should know how to build hybrid algorithms and recommendation systems for a global product. (Highly required)

- You should have in-depth knowledge of building sophisticated mobile and web application. You must be able to use AWS and server architecture. You would need to build best in class backend and database architecture that could be scalable as our product is improved. You should have command over backend and database languages such as MySQL, Node.js, MongoDB. (Highly required)

- You must have knowledge of building application for Android, IOS and Web application using either hybrid application like Ionic\React Native or Native platform. (Intermediate requirement).

You shall be responsible for:

- Establishing our technical vision and lead all aspects of our technology. Take ownership of end-to-end availability and performance of our product. Prepare technology strategy and design the solutions for scalability keeping in mind all the present and future requirements as per company's budget.

- Building a solid team and responsible for creating a positive work environment. Help our startup build a brand name in legal domain and help founder maintain healthy relationship with the clients and all the stakeholders.

- Work closely with the founder on important decision-making, understand the domain requirements and come up with the MVP product that solves the pain point of targeted end users. Also, Shaping the product as per user's feedback to make it market fit.

Location: Initially in Jaipur for a period till our MVP is launched and then to a better ecosystem.(NCR, Bangalore or Mumbai).

Start date: 1-2 Weeks
