Job Description

The job holder will be responsible for the management and implementation of corporate level marketing strategies and plans to achieve the growth and market share objectives of the Landmark Retail Group.

Budget Management

- Manage the corporate marketing budget by delineating expenditures based on corporate marketing plans

- Coordinate and consolidate the external budgets of marketing department through agencies

- Review the corporate marketing budget on a monthly basis and appraise the Head - Corporate Marketing and Communication on quality and quantum of utilization

- Champion the management of Landmark Group's internet and intranet policies and ensure timely updates of the same

Corporate Branding

- Build and Enhance the brand Image of the organization

- Position the brand / sub- brands in the appropriate target group

- Forge relationships with agencies and vendors at the corporate level for efficient execution of branding exercises

- Supervise and report to the management the gap between expected and delivered services

- Ensure constant monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all branding and corporate affairs processes and systems across all areas of operations

- Align the concept and territory branding with corporate branding guidelines laid down by the corporate marketing team

- Ensure adherence to the Landmark Corporate brand guidelines (branding layout and display, media preference, media buying/planning norms)

Marketing Support

- Provide support to the concept/ territory marketing teams in implementation of the promotions designed at corporate marketing level

- Liaise with the external agencies to design and develop forthcoming events and promotions material and ensure timely dispatch of the same to enable execution at the store level

- Develop and implement new channels for communication with the customers

- Manage partnership with other companies in territory for promotion exercises to increase footfalls in outlets

- Identify and develop an overall retail promotion strategy around key levers affecting promotions and sales

- Ensure implementation of annual promotion events calendar with brand fitment and brand development as driving objectives

- Manage special events, such as introducing new products, or other activities that the firm supports in order to gain public attention

- Implement seasonal campaigns consistent with campaign objectives, communication strategy and media plan

- Provide marketing support and champion coordination of smaller brands with limited budget

Media Planning

- Consolidate media and advertising requirements of individual businesses to develop a centralized media buying plan for the Group and negotiate with external partners on professional fees, rentals for ad spaces etc

- Evaluate and identify vendors, media, advertising agencies/ channels/ partners for developing long-term relationships on behalf of individual businesses and the Landmark Retail Group as an entity, for rendering specific services

- Monitor and review all marketing and advertising consultants and agencies used by the Retail Group and ensure that they perform effectively

- Plan and implement the utilization of various media channels with a view to maximize return on investment from individual media channels

- Integrate the overall Media Planning Process with the position specific goals that ensures efficient utilization of marketing budgets

People Management

- Manage and support recruitment

- Monitor staff welfare and facilitate complaint resolution

- Set KRA's for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal

- Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees

Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training

Post-graduate degree in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing essential

Minimum Experience: 10 + years

Specific / Relevant Experience:

4 years of experience in marketing management capacity preferably from Retail/FMCG
