Job Summary

Purpose and Objective :


- L+G operates a Group Development Centre (GDC) that provides R&D services to the Group Technology Office (GTO) and the Regional Technology leaders in Americas, EMEA and APAC. These business leaders are accountable for the R&D outcomes for which the center provides these R&D services in conjunction with other regionally based R&D resources

- The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the GDC and ensuring a safe, well maintained, cost effective and productive working environment

- The role works is a highly matrixed and liaises closely with the GTO, Regional leadership, Functional leadership, and business partners to ensure L+G's business outcomes are met

Core Areas of Responsibility/Accountability

- Responsible for overall administration of the GDC with strong focus on safety, statutory compliance, operational excellence, and cost efficiency

- Works closely with the HR function to ensure

- A high standard of employee engagement

- Programs structured to ensure talent development, retention, and acquisition

- Bottom quartile attrition rates

- Aligned with GTO recommendations or approved by the GTO implements and drives continuous improvement associated with people, processes and systems aimed at driving improvements in operational excellence

- Working closely with the GTO ensures suitable project metrics and reporting is in place and followed with particular attention to accurate and timely reporting of resource allocation to projects (not less than monthly reporting)

- Ensures the suitability (in terms of time, cost, and quality) of the GDC environment and its partner network for the R&D activities undertaken e.g. suitability of test and validation facilities and systems, external laboratories, other external resources

- Ensures the continuous development of the GDC's safety, compliance, governance, and risk management regime

- Models the L+G's values and creates an open, trusting, and accountable culture as a highly available leader

- Provides analytical, problem-solving skills to assist the local management team overcome operational issues

Experience :

- Bachelor of Engineering/Science with post-graduate qualifications such as Master of Business Administration well regarded

- Minimum 15 years experience with at-least 5 years of experience in managing centers of around 500 people

- Prior Experience of working in a Global environment would be an added advantage
