Positions Name : Project Management

Key Purpose of Role :

- Person shall be responsible managing part of a smart metering development project. (S)he will be responsible for assigned Firmware delivery, Software delivery, schedule management, quality management and project planning in all phases of device development cycle.

- (S)he will be responsible for functional management of managing entire project resources to deliver a good quality Firmware and continuously strive for maximum output and efficiency of the team. Person needs to work closely with cross functional teams including team leads, architects to translate functional requirements into task plan with clear list of assumptions and should be able to resolve dependencies, to do risk planning and defect management.

Job Description :

- Firmware delivery within agreed timeline, cost and competitive quality

- Planning and estimation at competitive efficiency, detail task planning for individuals, task tracking, closure

- Functional management of Software / Firmware resources, continuously increasing efficiency and output of team

- Work closely with line managers, architects and other key stakeholders

- Jira, Source control, version management and defects management-SVN, TFS

- Communication with multisite global teams for requirements tracking, status reporting and closure of issues

- Self-learner, able to work with autonomy and challenge also technical and planning assumptions of the team

- Perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of experienced judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices

- Learn system-level Firmware design, specifications of gateway product having interfaces for LAN, WAN and HAN involving communication technologies such as GSM/GPRS, 3G/4G, LTE, M-BUS and Ethernet.

Role Requirements :

- Result-oriented project manager with proven track record of managing large complex size embedded development projects; Experience in project management tools and techniques

- Well versed with Agile, SCRUM, Test Driven development practices and other project management arts. Ideally familiar with CMMi process landscape

- Excellent communication skills written and verbal; experience working on joint projects with European or North American teams

- Experience in managing and refining SW development process with capability of supporting multiple development locations and both internal and external resources

- Able to manage schedule and increase team efficiency and motivation

- Quality management- understanding of defect management and review processes

- Willing to travel occasionally

- Able to motivate and create a conducive team environment
