Roles and Responsibilities:

Regulatory / Compliance:

- Contribute to compliance with global policies, procedures, practices and guidelines including Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

- Contribute to compliance with budgetary and financial reporting requirements

- Assist and contribute to necessary statutory compliance, licensing and insurances for the business in India

- Assist with internal and external auditing procedures as required and contribute to ensuring corrective actions are achieved

- Assist with compliance to Income tax requirements.

Fiscal Management:

- Prepares, analyzes and implements payroll transactions on a timely manner such as payments of hours worked, personal time off, employee benefits, application of benefit deductions.

- Prepares and/or analyzes periodic payroll reports, payroll schedules, and payroll related journal entries using established policies, procedures, and guidelines on a timely manner.

- Monitors state and local taxes, Social Security contributions, employee benefit contributions, garnishments, and other deductions to ensure accuracy of individual pay.

- Analyzes payroll reports, statements, records and making recommendations to improve payroll process.

- Prepares and/or reviews the accuracy of payroll related journal entries and performs account reconciliation and analysis while ensuring supporting documentation is accurate and in compliance with company policies.

- Prepares audit schedules and assists/coordinates audit of accounting statements/reports

- Coordinates payroll matters with other departments, locations, and business units.

- Coordinates with payroll service provider on issues affecting company payroll.

- Compliance to ESI, PF, TDS returns, Form 16, support employees in understanding tax deductions.

- Supports other accounting functions i.e. A/P, A/R etc.

- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Key Metrics-

- Good working knowledge of SAP.

- All required compliance requirements under immediate accountability are met both internally within the company and externally with all governmental and regulatory bodies

- Audits process actions under immediate accountability are actioned.

- Working knowledge of Direct and Indirect taxation.

- Understanding of GST

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

- Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.

- Must have the behavioral sensitivity, maturity, diplomacy and tact in addressing complex situations and handling irate stakeholders.

Qualification and Professional Experience-

- Relevant professional qualification (CA /CA Inter qualification is preferred )

- Minimum 7-8 years of relevant work experience

- Exposure to direct and indirect taxation requirements.

- Sound technical competency in financial controls

- Experience within a SAP environment
