Manager - Business Operations

Team Overview :

- The position in discussion is with the Business Operations team in Capability Hubs (CH) at KGS, which is KPMG's global delivery center and an integral part of the firm's strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability globally.

- KGS' CH business is a team of over 1,400 professionals based in Gurugram and Bangalore and has been providing solutions to KPMG member firms globally. The CH capabilities include Research & Benchmarking, Knowledge Management, Account Management Services, Quality & Risk Management, Pursuits, Creative, Marketing, and Business Services.

- The Business Operations team provides support to the CH and business leadership on aspects such as KPI tracking and reporting, and solutioning queries / acting as a thought partner on nuances such as contractual compliance, invoicing, and financial planning. This helps ensure smooth day to day running of the CH business.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Own and drive strategic agenda for the CH Business Operations team - Specifically, but not limited to :

- Leadership support - Independently drive analysis and reporting around business metrics and KPIs to aid decision making

- Partner with leads to understand key business asks / gather requirements and act as a solution provider

- Understand highly nuanced, complex problems related to business operations, and stitch together solutions touching multiple processes within the team

- Build robust understanding of all processes within the team, and develop into an SME on them, including but not limited to dashboarding, customized reporting, and compliance

- Drive, lead, and manage overall key processes within the business operations team - incl. but not limited to KPI reporting - including business and financial metrics, contractual compliance, and TA validation process

- Drive value-add in deliverables by leading brainstorming and independently driving analysis, forecasting, and trends identification based on limited data / input

- Collaborate with business teams and resolve their queries around all business operations related aspects

- Drive strong QA culture and provide a strong quality control layer in the team

- Drive people agenda for the team - including engagement, performance development, coaching, and mentoring

- Establish and develop strong collaborative relationships within the organization

Job Requirements :

Essential Skills :

- Entrepreneurial outlook / self-starter attitude to independently own and drive solutions

- Hands-on approach - ability to zoom-in during critical situations and zoom-out when required

- Ability to think beyond the obvious and act as a consultant to the business and leadership

- Ability to manage evolving requirements and deliver under tight deadlines

- Ability to regularly and proactively interact with key stakeholders and team leads to seek relevant information, share updates, and provide solutions

- Strong and consistent quality control and eye for detail

- Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

- Excellent communication skills

Prior Experience : The candidate must have 10-12 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Educational Qualifications : Postgraduate
