- As a member of our AQPP group, the successful candidate will be integrally involved in all activities to support AQPP in achieving its objectives and will include: Monitoring queries submitted through the AQPP mailbox; developing responses to queries submitted to the AQPP mailbox; being a point of contact on audit and financial reporting matters for all staff with respect to Audit Standards, Accounting Standards, KPMG Audit Methodology and Audit Tools and Applications. 

- The candidate will be actively involved in global projects to develop templates and guidance for audit professionals in the Asset Management industry; promoting audit quality throughout the firm and assist in all aspects of the quality control process; building networks with other AQPP professionals within KPMG; preparing technical releases on topical issues; delivering technical training, and keeping abreast of emerging issues.

Qualifications:

- Applicants must be a qualified accountant with a recognized professional designation (CPA or CA); have practice experience with KPMG and be looking for a challenging opportunity to capitalize on your technical knowledge. 

- This position requires a minimum of 5 years industry experience in the financial services sector with a focus on the Asset Management, Insurance and Banking sector; a good working understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS, ISA and industry specific reporting requirements.

- The successful candidate must have a keen interest in audit and financial reporting, a self-starter who is motivated to work independently, a good communicator, both internally and with clients, and the ability to offer practical and well thought out solutions that are consistent with the standards
