Function : Accounting Advisory Services (AAS)
Location :
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Typically project team members / leaders who will be involved to providing accounting and audit related advisory support to clients, including
- Implementation assistance with new accounting standards
- Financial reporting support (technical as well process related) services to clients
- Provide technical as well as process assistance in relation to conversion from Indian GAAP to US GAAP/IFRS and vice-versa
- Support related to areas such as proposals for new business, US GAAP convergence, new accounting pronouncements and other regulatory changes which impact accounting decisions
- Provide accounting related training services to clients
- Assist clients with financial reporting / closing / consolidation type processes
- Assist clients with respect to financial reporting requirements in connection with listing of securities
- Candidates may play the role of team leader on some engagements with 1-3 team members reporting to them for the project. In such cases seniors shall have responsibility of reviewing the work done (Deliverables) by the team members
- Interact with the client representatives for the ongoing requirements of the project
- Consistently deliver quality client services and take charge of the project area assigned to him/her
- Monitor progress, manage risk and verify key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge
- Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
- The job would require travel to client locations within India and abroad
THE INDIVIDUAL :
- Possess strong domain knowledge, has strong accounting foundation skills
- Practical knowledge of finance function and financial reporting process
- Practical knowledge of the financial reporting compliance from a regulatory perspective
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (presentation skills)
- Ability to work well in teams
- Advanced Working knowledge of MS Office applications and hands-on to ERP (Oracle/SAP/ Tally)system shall be added advantage. Hands on IT (SAP / Oracle) experience
- Have the ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours
- Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous long periods of time
- Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic and lead by example
QUALIFICATION :
- Chartered Accountant /CPA/ ACCA OR Commerce post graduate / MBA
- 0-4 years of financial reporting /audit experience with a public accounting or advisory firm or financial reporting experience with a large reputed organization
- Professionals completing articleship from a large global accounting firm will be given preference
- Professionals with industry experience or experience in US GAAP, IFRS, accounting advisory, due diligence and securities offering assignments in India / abroad would be preferred
